69 Times FYI - March 2010
The Committee have organised a “Curry and Quiz” night, details in the events column below!
Our Annual Skittles competition took place at the red Lion PH on the 5th February. It was a fine evening with no rain, no snow and enough people to make a game of it, however there were a few members missing who usually attend. The winner was Ian Jenkins, runner up Nick Jenkins and in 3rd place a tie between Lewis Jenkins and Neale King. I was not last this year for a change!
On Saturday Kim and I, and Lynton and June went to the bike show at Excel. It was OK, the main bike dealers were there and the clothing stands, but the venue lacked atmosphere compared to Ally Pally, although we did manage to park for free which was a bonus as it’s usually £12.
The Pool and Darts competition was on February the 26th. Kim Hall won the Pool (a reflection of the overall standard of play rather than his skill at the game!), and the runner up Neale King. Darts winner was Neale King, with Robert Skelton runner up.
The invitations to the Club’s new “Kent Coalfield Rally” have gone out and the badges made, so it’s stand by for action! Bookings are up to just over the hundred mark so we look on course for a good turnout,
Lynn
